Dear Foregen Supporters,
Foregen’s Chief Science Officer has released a third article on Commentarium, continuing the biocompatibility series and giving more context to the research we are conducting; this entry focuses on many of the fundamental concepts of tissue engineering and our work. You can read the first part here and the second one here on Commentarium.
Right now we’re still waiting on the team in Italy to start with the second part of animal trials involving sheep. From our understanding their preparations are ready to go, but the previous shift in timing also affected some of the needed administrative oversight and approval from the University of Camerino. Previously we had expected we would be able to move into the lab with the research and wet work sooner. We will share more information on the next phase of animal trials as it becomes available.
If you missed it last time, we also released a short intro video about Foregen’s mission! It’s a quick, 90 second summary of who we are and makes for a great way to share the topic with someone you know. You can watch it here on our YouTube channel!
For April a total of $16,422 was raised from donors, and includes close to $400 in new recurring donations. We also received a generous donation of $1,000 from a donor and $900 via the Benevity Employer matching program. We’ll have more to share in the next month, so stay tuned!
Best,
Tyler J. Drozd
Chief Operations Officer
